Synopsis: Chocolate Sabotage explores the interactions of the work place and observes how these interactions develop into a concoction of meaningless recurrences--masquerading as intimate relationships at best and cruel power games at worst. The players fill their personal void with food, work, gossip or sexual tension as an attempt to distract themselves from their loneliness. These distractions often expose how fragile the characters really are and the honesty they try so hard to deny. The harder they try to cover up their unhappiness, the more it slips out when they think no one is watching. Chocolate Sabotage is a one act play that exposes the facades we adopt around the people who we think do not know us and the effects these so-called relationship have on our well-being.

Calling all dyslexic creatives for DYSMING MONADYS. missfit Productions is celebrating a diverse group of dyslexic writers, poets, and filmmakers in the DYSMING MONADYS mini festival at The Troy Bar. We believe that being diagnosed as dyslexic is not as much of a disadvantage as some people think. Although people with dyslexia often have problems with literary skills, organization, and other “left-brained” activities, they are often creative and imaginative, with stronger abilities on the right side of the brain. With that in mind, we are holding this festival to encourage people with dyslexia to indulge their imaginations and prove to the world--and to themselves--that their dyslexia is not a disadvantage. We are calling on all dyslexic creatives to get in contact with us--whether you are a playwright, performance poet, or a filmmaker--we want to hear from you. Please email for full submission guidelines.
