The London Bridge Festival--More Fringe Than Boris (July 10-25, 2009)

The Festival will launch the area as the place in the capital for art and performance that is exciting, cutting-edge, innovative and experimental. As the Festival area is right next to established art and performance venues such as the National Theatre, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe, we’ll be pushing the boundaries both literally and figuratively. Where better to locate a Festival that challenges the status quo?

The Festival is completely open access - so anyone can take part, from first timers to seasoned professionals. It will include comedy, music, poetry, film, theatre, street shows, art and photography. This is a unique area in London – dating from Roman times and steeped in history and tradition. Perform in the area where Chaucer, Dickens, Blake, Johnson, Shakespeare and Marlowe - all rebels in their day - lived in or were inspired by.

We would really like it if you would be part of the Festival.

We are into social media, big-time, and are running conversations on the website which you can join - www.londonbridgefestival.com.

Why not come along to one of our fortnightly Festival Clubs and learn more? The Festival Club is a great place to meet other artists/performers and to network or just have a drink.

The next Festival Club is from 6.30pm on Tuesday, 10th March at the Heeltap bar, White Hart Yard, SE1 1NX. (http://www.londonbridgefestival.com/promos/festivalclub.php)
